- Supervise five staff members, yearly interns and up to 12 student This included the institution of a high level training regime for student workers to decrease the support burden imposed on staff by the exponential course offering and student enrollment growth. workers

- Develop the Department’s budget, technology goals, and strategic plan
- Negotiate contracts These relationships have included industry leaders such as Thomson Learning, Desire2Learn, Pearson, Bosch, and the Florida Distance Learning Consortium.with publishers, service providers, and other vendors
- Establish and operate the Florida Online AcademyThe Academy has trained more than 330 employees and certified 114 faculty and staff to teach online, hybrid, and web-enhanced courses since 2004 to train employees
- Develop the Academy’s training program and tracking system
- Revamped the distance-learning infrastructure
- Created a Resource Area and Studio

Assists instructors with the creation of eLearning materials to inspire faculty to adopt new technologies - Established an online asset and media repository to host the Department’s one million plus graphics, animations, and videos

As a result of these initiatives, enrollment in the past four years has grew from approximately 2,500 students to over 13,000. of approximately 2,500 students in 2003 to over 13,000 in 2007 - Responsible for promoting services to the college community

- Assisted over 800 classes in the online posting of supplemental materials, which was achieved through an awareness campaign, which included visiting nearly 100 classrooms per year to provide orientation sessions

- Instructional topics included the script writing, storyboarding, web authoring, design accessibility usability testing, podcasting, audio/video editing/compression/encoding/streaming, 2D and 3D modeling, texture mapping, lighting, and the usage of Microsoft Office applications (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
- Developed and deployed the first podcast on DBCC’s campus in 2005
